Build Your Cityscape (BYC) is a 501(C)(3) organization partnering with Cityscape, a local real estate developer, to provide affordable, attainable single-family and mixed-income housing for Atlanta’s growing inner market.
We aim to attract conscious capital and reinvest it into underserved communities and projects while maintaining community values and the pride of homeownership. We focus on creating smart strategies, brokering relationships, and securing the needed capital to succeed in underserved markets, all while providing financial assistance to our homebuyers.
With funding from BYC, Cityscape (its homeownership affiliate) leverages its extensive experience in property acquisition, project planning, homebuilding, and down payment assistance to bring more single-family housing units to market.
In this way, BYC is a crucial link between funding mechanisms like mission-driven lenders, grantors, federal funding, and investors, as well as communities to drive impactful urban revitalization efforts.
We increase the standard of living,
not the cost.

OUR JOURNEY
THEN
BYC was founded in April 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia
… in response to the pressing affordable housing crisis facing our nation. Initially, we provided advisory services to municipalities and nonprofits focused on community development and program management.
Community Development Projects
Columbia, SC
BUILD COLUMBIA is our initiative to strategically re-cast Columbia’s typical budget report presented annually and ensure the results provide clear, actionable guidance for relevant departments. We developed a custom framework for the mayor and city managers to implement this initiative. In Delkab County, we held a mapping session for the CEO’s office to help local mayors understand their city annexing pros and cons.
Birmingham, AL
We designed a program that focuses on improving municipalities and community development from the inside out. This program uses our expertise in process management consulting to help municipalities define, visualize, measure, control, report, and improve their processes to meet the city’s profitability goals. We involve the corporate community, as this benefits both public and private sectors, helping our supporters and business partners.
